The group was formed in Warsaw in 2004. It is composed of dancers – soloists performing on the stages of the best Polish theatres. The team led by a choreographer and director, Mateusz Polit, is a group of young, talented artists working freely with many modern dance techniques (modern ballet, lyrical jazz, new style underground, broadway, yoga ballet, classic dance, acrobatics, afro jazz).
From the very beginning the ballet group has been surprising the audience. Their first performance, Carnival Revenue, referring to Latin-American and carnival culture, was highly recognized and appreciated in the artistic community. Its characteristic features are dynamism and energy of their performances as well as unconventional choreography. So far the biggest appreciation was showed for modern ballet performance entitled Architect’s Dream based on the works of contemporary architect, author of, among others, World Trade Centre in New York – Daniel Libeskind.
Original repertoire and individual abilities of dancers caused that the team adds splendor to the biggest galas and cultural events in Poland and abroad. Art Project Ballet performed during shows of such international stars as: Garou, Lou Bega, Amel Bent, Shakin Stevens, London Beat and Boney M.
